The Limoge’s theatre academy is in the first 11 theatre schools that are licensed by the French Ministry of Culture for the handing out of a postgraduate state diploma in professional education in the art of acting. It is a three-year program, with a tight partnership with the state university of Limoges that gives the right to the Academy’s students to have another postgraduate diploma in the coordination of cultural projects.
Pierre Pradinas - director of the Dramatic Theatre, the Union Theatre of Limousin and Anton Kuznetsov – Artistic director both lead the Academy. Thanks to the tight relationship with the Dramatic Theatre, the Academy’s students are constantly in contact with different representatives of the theatrical profession.
Starting in 2010, thanks to the partnership agreement between the Meyerhold Centre (Moscow) and the State Academy of the Theatrical Art in Saint-Petersburg, the Limoges’s theatre school was able to have a lot of artistic exchanges. In May 2013, the Academy’s graduates will show their work based on M. Lermontov’s pieces in Moscow that was conducted by Interns-Directors, Vidas Bareykis, Zara Antonyan and Nikita Kudryavtsev in November-December 2011 in Limoges.
